A rather different approach to a trackcar, this is my 1981 VW mk1 golf which i bought with engine failure and a cheapo respray. The car is solid enough and was originally destined to have a tuned KR 1.8litre 16v engine fitted and be turned into a cheap fun tracktoy to replace my 205GTi. After rebuilding the 16v engine and prepping the shell, my circumstances changed and I had to lay the project up for 22months (End of 2008). Luckily, almost 12months later, I have sunk my teeth back into this one and hoping it may well be finished within 12months.
